Menu and holiday cooking

December is here which means a lot of cooking and preparations for the upcoming holidays. We kicked off with our annually Christmas party with our Swedish friends. A traditional Swedish smorgasbord has a lot of dishes so we have a pot luck and every one brings their favorites. I brought Jansson´s Temptation, Rice pudding and smoked salmon. Other delicacies was spare ribs, herring in different creations, cured salmon, pate, eggs, salads and as dessert home made candy.

Monday Broccoli and cheese quiche

Tuesday Poached chicken withcurry sauce, brown rice and carrots

Wednesday Mashed potatoes with parsnip, (the recipe yields heavy cream but I use milk) fish sticks

Thursday Broccoli soup

Friday Salmon burgers
